Studio Roene is a full-service interior design studio based in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Led by Manila-born and California-raised Julia Sobrepeña King, we focus on custom residential and boutique commercial projects that honor craftsmanship, individuality and the innovative spirit of the West Coast.
With a career spanning nearly two decades, King received her training from some of the most formidable names in contemporary California design, including AD100 designers Charles De Lisle, Commune Design, Waldo Fernandez, Michael S. Smith and Kelly Wearstler. She founded the studio in 2021 and was named a New American Voice by Architectural Digest in 2022.
"Roene" is a hybrid of the names of her two grandmothers—one an artist and the other an architect—reflecting their revolutionary spirit and her pride in their creative legacy.
